Love is ......

........

Despite having a list of things he wanted to do this morning - he agreed to walk to the beach with me.

He stood patiently waiting while I chatted away to someone I knew from work for what seemed like a few minutes but was probably 20-30!

He smiled sweetly when we came upon a car boot sale.

As if all this wasn't enough, he went for the grand finale??

He spotted (how did I miss it?), this little number. A vintage wicker shopping trolley - which is full size but looks little in this picture. Before I'd even picked up it's scent he had bought it for a bargain three pound fifty.

Then my beautiful, considerate, kind husband carried it all the way back home (sigh - that's me)

My Granny used to have a wicker basket on wheels just like the one you have.....I still have a beautiful miniature one from my childhood. Don't know if I'd want to go out shopping with one but they are great for logs or storing things

That's the man I need! It's a shame he's married... such a peach of a guy needs to be held onto tightly!

Oh it's fabulous, what a find! Now are you planning to go shopping with this or is it purely for decorative purposes? I'm not sure my weekly shop would fit into that.....you've got a fine husband there!

Oh wow, how cool! My hubby has told me in no uncertain terms that I'm not to get a shopping trolley! He won't even entertain the idea of one of the funky Ikea ones, despite my pointing out that it would be a lot easier to carry all our carboot/charity shop hauls!
I'm still working on him. ;)

Just poped by to see what you are up to Mary. What a delicious little find, well done to kind hubby. I don't suppose he'll want to pull it along on future shopping trips though!

Oh, and I had a sea view, too!

What a fab find - the hubby AND the trolley! I'm dreading the day when I can no longer use the pram as my shopping trolley, it's amazing what you can fit into one! Maybe I could just take it without the child in, or is that a bit 'bag lady'?..........

What a fab trolley - so much more stylish than my Trevor the tartan trolley who comes to Aldi with me! Love you background music too - what is it. Pleased to be reading your blog again.

It's perfect!
Yesterday in the next town I saw a very battered worn out basket on wheels sitting on the wooden porch of a house. The owners had planted brightly coloured primulas in the top of it. The effect was wonderful.

Aren't husbands grand?

Thanks for visiting Mary! I was really interested to read about your DH's new career, that's food for thought.....I've long thought that it's too late for me to train for a new career but clearly that's not the case! You must be so proud of him.

I didn't realise that wicker shopper basket envy existed! Well it does, and it is thriving...

What a great guy!
